CALL FOR PAPERS
The 7th Asian Social Sciences & Technology Conference (ASTECH7) organized by Association of Teachers and Researchers in Asia will take place between September 19, 2017 and September 22, 2017 in Osaka, Japan.
The theme of the conference is Asian perspectives on social sciences research.
We invite academicians and scholars from all the relevant disciplines to submit their papers and ongoing research findings to this stimulating and exciting conference.
This peer-reviewed academic conference aims to bring together the world’s leading scholars and opinion leaders and increase our understanding of emerging scientific issues and research methodologies relating to natural sciences and social sciences.
Association of Teachers and Researchers in Asia believes that this academic event will surely promote better research in applied academics and facilitate networking opportunities for international scholars. The submissions should be made directly to the conference chair at submit@atera.org.

NOTES TO PARTICIPANTS
Oral Presenter
-Your presentation is supposed to be 15 minutes followed by a 5-minute question-answer session lead by the track chair. You will be provided a laptop (MacBook Air) connected to the internet and a projector in the conference room. You are allowed to use your own computer. One of the co-authors, whose names are previously submitted to the conference, should make the presentation.There will be someone to assist you with any technical difficulties that may happen.
Poster Presenter
-When you submit your abstract please let us know that you would like to present your paper as a poster. If your paper is accepted, please make sure to set up your poster prior to the start of the conference.You will be shown the assigned place for your poster when you register at the reception desk. The recommended poster size is 36″x48.” You are advised to print out your poster. ATERA can print out the poster on behalf of you with an additional cost.
Workshop Leader
-ATERA encourages participants to submit workshop proposals especially in the areas of teacher development and emerging research methods. Please remember that your workshop should last between 60 to 120 minutes. You will be provided additional guidelines after you submit your proposal.
Symposium Speaker
-If you’d like to hold a symposium in one of our conferences please share your syposium proposal with ATERA 6 months in advance. Share the title of the syposium, specific topic of interest and why it is imprtant, your name and the aother speakers’ names, affiliations, short bios and academic contribution to the particular area.
Virtual / Absentee Presenter
-Those whose abstracted are accepted are allowed to make a Skype presentation or share a video presentation (e.g. Adobe Captivate). Your abstract will be included in the proceedings and your full paper will be considered for publication.
Audience Member
-You are more than welcome to participate in our conference as an audience member. If you accompany a presenter, you can pay the member price of audience participation. If you are not accompanying a presenter please send us an email in advance and please make sure to pay the registration fee in advance.
PUBLICATION & BEST PAPER OPPORTUNITIES
-Abstracts of the oral and poster presentations will be published in the conference proceedings.
-Extended summaries (min. 750 words) of papers presented at ATERA’s conferences in Japan will be compiled in the “Asian Social Sciences Research Yearbook” at the end of the year. The assigned ISBN number for the upcoming yearbook is 978-1-5357-2639-9.
-All the accepted full papers that follow the required format, meet the criteria and vetted by the editor will be published in one of the following journals. ATERA also provides free proofreading and editing services when needed.; namely, The Journal of Scientific Social Studies ( 978-1-5357-2636-8) and The Journal of Scientific Business Research (978-1-5357-2637-5). The unique DOI numbers will be assigned and the articles will be submitted to Google Scholar and CrossRef.
-Full papers submitted to ATERA’s conferences in Japan that are related to technology and society will be on the fast-track review for the special issue of the International Journal of Web Based Communities indexed by, Google Scholar & CrossRef.
-Full papers submitted to ATERA’s conferences in Japan that are related to to business will be on the fast-track review for Asian Business Research Journal indexed by Google Scholar & CrossRef Google Scholar & CrossRef.
-Best paper award in each sub discipline will give a chance to a number of conference participants to win the prize. -Best Poster award will be awarded separately.

General visa information Those whose papers are accepted to be presented at the conference will receive an “acceptance letter.” This acceptance letter which is signed by the conference director can only be used to get funding from your institution it cannot be used for other purposes.
CONFERENCE VENUE
The conference will be held at Maikoya Heritage House, Japan’s prominent cultural experience museum. Maikoya Osaka is a 6-floor unique building that combines zen and Japanese architecture that is located in the heart of Osaka. ATERA is given this unique privilege of holding an academic conference in the Edo-style rooms of Maikoya. The venue can be easily accessed from the Kansai International Airport (about 50 min. bus ride) and is only a train stop away from Shinsaibashi, the most popular spot in the city.
