This FASEB Science Research Conference (SRC) is the 12th meeting in a series that began in 1995. It will feature cutting edge research on protein folding and aggregation in neurodegenerative and systemic diseases, such as Alzheimer's and diabetes, and in normal physiology, such as functional amyloid formation. Speakers will cover a range of mechanisms underlying protein aggregate formation and the cellular response. New findings in intracellular phase transitions and intrinsically disordered proteins will be highlighted, along with emerging technologies in biophysics, bioengineering, structural biology, and imaging for high-resolution studies of protein aggregation. Novel therapeutic intervention strategies and challenges will also be featured.
Topics: research, physiology, protein aggregation formation, cellular response, FASEB, biophysics, bioengineering, structural biology,
