This conference is the major recurrent meeting for the ER/early secretory pathway research community. The attendees are an interdisciplinary group of scientists, including those from both academic and biopharmaceutical backgrounds. Both established investigators and trainees—including graduate students and postdoctoral fellows—are well represented. The overarching goal of this meeting is to understand the role of the endoplasmic reticulum in protein homeostasis in normal and pathological circumstances.
