AIM Workshop: Groups of dynamical origin

This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, will bring together researchers interested in group theory, dynamical systems, and C*-algebras with interests revolving around topological full groups, groups acting on rooted trees, orbit equivalence theory, automata groups, symbolic and tiling dynamics, and arboreal representations of Galois groups to discuss recent developments in the subject with the focus on ample-like groups, their actions and algebraic properties.

Topics: The main topics for the workshop are: The interplay between topological dynamics, group theory, and number theory, Self-Similarity of Groups and Their Actions, Orbit Equivalence Theory of Group Actions.
