The
main objective of the school is to introduce the basic notions of
number theory (analytic and algebraic) and algebraic curves (including
elliptic curves and some commutative algebra), including p-adic numbers and Diophantine approximations.
The
school is aimed at advanced bachelor students and master students, but
PhD students are also welcome. The school will last two weeks and offer
four two-week courses and three one-week courses. Activities will
include lectures and exercise sessions, but also computer classes where
the participants will work in small groups on the material of the
various courses using the computer system Sage.
