HOST ORGANIZATION University of Campinas(UNICAMP) CONFERENCE CHAIR Flávio Vasconcelos da SilvaCampinas is the third largest city of São Paulo State and is located about 1 hour-flight from Rio de Janeiro and Iguazu Falls, and about 1 hour-drive from São Paulo. It is also a major hub for domestic airlines and some international flights. It stands out as an industrial and technological center, with around 20 research and technology Institutes. The Metropolitan Region of Campinas (MRC) is the third largest industrial center of the country (behind the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), generating 3% of the GDP. Fifty of the 500 largest companies in the world have branches established in MRC. Tourist attractions include: the Taquaral Park, a beloved urban lagoon and adjacent wooded park, with a planetarium, a science museum, an indoor sports stadium and swimming pool, an open concert auditorium, a floating caravel replica, an electric tramway, plus facilities for several types of sports; the Central Market; the old Central Railway Station, now converted to a cultural center; the open arena (Centro de Convivência), for concerts and spectacles and a plaza where Campinas Symphony Orchestra often plays to the public; the Castle (Castelo) Water Tower, which provides a beautiful view over the downtown; the Historical Railway Society of Campinas, which maintains the Anhumas station; the Cathedral, built in the 19th century; and the Bosque dos Jequitibás, an urban preserved wooded area reminiscent of the original rain forest.
PURPOSEIASTED’s 6th International Conference on Modelling, Simulation and Identification (MSI 2016) will serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas, technologies, and research among scientists, engineers, and other professionals. MSI 2016 aims to enable new networking and to reinforce existing relationships between professionals in this field.

The IASTED Secretariat must receive your paper by April 8, 2016. Receipt of paper submission will be confirmed by email.
Authors submitting their papers early will normally receive notification at an earlier date.
Initial Paper Requirements
All papers submitted to IASTED conferences must be previously unpublished and may not be considered for publication elsewhere at any time during IASTED's review period. Authors are limited to a maximum of three paper submissions.
Initial paper submissions should be full papers. Papers of up to 8 pages in length are included in the conference registration fee. An extra charge will apply for every additional page for papers longer than 8 pages. Authors are responsible for having their papers checked for style and grammar before submitting to IASTED. Papers may be rejected if the language is not satisfactory.
When submitting a paper, complete the online initial paper submission form, designating an author who will attend the conference, and provide four key words to indicate the subject area of your paper. At least one of the key words must be taken from the list of topics provided under Scope, above.

Reviewing
All papers submitted to this conference will be double-blind peer reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee and related technical committees. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality, significance, technical soundness, presentation, and references. The conference chair makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the paper.
Acceptance and Registration
Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by May 22, 2016. Final manuscripts are due by June 16, 2016. Registration and final payment are due by June 21, 2016. Late registration fees or paper submissions will result in the papers being excluded from the conference proceedings.
Only one paper of up to eight pages is included in the regular registration fee. There will be an added charge for extra pages and additional papers.
Final Paper Requirements
The final paper must be correctly formatted and submitted online at http://pdfportal.iasted.org.
The formatting instructions can be found at: www.iasted.org/formatting-final-page.html and must be strictly followed. The page limit for final papers is eight single-spaced pages in 10 point Times New Roman font.

Proposal Format
A tutorial proposal should clearly indicate:
Special session proposals must be emailed to calgary@iasted.org by April 8, 2016. Proposals should include a session title, a list of the topics covered, and the qualifications and brief biography of the session organizer(s).
Papers submitted to the special session must be received by April 8, 2016, unless otherwise stipulated by the Special Session Organizer. A minimum of five papers must be registered and fully paid in order for this session to be included in the conference program.
