Are You Ready For Required OSHA GHS Training –December 1, 2013 Deadline? This OSHA compliance training will explain the requirements of the globally harmonized system of classification and labeling of chemicals. It will also provide you tools and tips to train employees by December 1, 2013 on the new labels elements and safety data sheets format to facilitate recognition and understanding.

Why Should You Attend:

The OSHA rule ” Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals” was adopted to be consistent with the provisions of the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), Revision 3. The transmittal of information is to be accomplished by means of comprehensive hazard communication programs, which are to include container labeling and other forms of warning, safety data sheets and employee training.

Under the recently adopted GHS, what have been known as Material Safety Data Sheets, (MSDSs) will change to a new 16-section SDS format. Manufacturers have until June 1, 2015, to comply with the new SDS format. But employers must train all employees on these new Safety Data Sheets and this system by December 1, 2013.

The speaker, a seasoned safety professional who has helped many companies successfully understand and comply with OSHA, will provide a comprehensive strategy that will help. This webinar will discuss the details of training and will explain how to write a Hazard Communications plan for your organization or business.

Areas Covered in the Webinar:

  • the details of the required training,
  • Go through the details of the new Safety Data Sheet and its symbols
  • provide tools for employers to conduct this training,
  • explain how a Hazard Communications program operates
