The conference is focused on plasma processing of materials using both non-thermal and thermal plasmas. Plasma processing is a promising technology to create surfaces with novel functional capabilities and characteristics for many emerging applications in a more rationally and eco-friendly manner. Plasma technology can be effectively and efficiently deployed for a wide range of applications from catalysis, sensors, medicine, self-cleaning surfaces, displays, fundamental and applied studies of surface, interface processes of critical importance to address the emerging technological challenges. Plasma processing is widely recognized as the key element in materials processes of primary importance in the health, energy, electronics, and environmental sectors.
