A Multimodality Imaging Approach to Women's Health

This CME course with faculty from Penn Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital, will present current diagnostic radiology approaches to women’s health. These include diseases of the breast, benign and malignant disorders of the pelvis, lung cancer and colon cancer, thyroid disease, and osteoporosis. The course is intended for all health care providers who care for women and who order and interpret radiology studies, including internists, gynecologists, family physicians, and general radiologists. The role of interventional radiology will be included. Appropriate utilization of screening techniques will be examined, including tomosynthesis, ultrasound, MRI, DXA, MRI, and PET/CT. In addition, disparities in women’s healthcare, the global impact of imaging in women’s health, and ethical considerations will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to earn 14.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and 12 SAM credits.
