Objective
The purpose of this conference is to provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to meet, present and develop ideas on subjects within the field of Production Economics, which treats the interface between engineering and economics/management. The ultimate objective is to create and develop knowledge for improving industrial practice and to strengthen the methodological and theoretical base for supporting sound decision making. With current situation, we aim to organise the conference onsite in Innsbruck, and also offer online solutions for colleagues with traveling difficulties.
Abstracts and full papers
Participants who wish to present papers are requested to send an
abstract, not exceeding 250 words (in Word format), to the Programme
Committee by November 1, 2021 at the latest. Acceptance of abstracts
will be notified to authors by December 1, 2021. The number of
participants will be limited. Full papers should be submitted by January
14, 2022.
Papers presented can be submitted for publication after the conference. Accepted papers will be published in a proceedings issue of the International Journal of Production Economics by Elsevier according to the procedure required by the journal.
Presentation and discussion
Papers will be distributed to all participants. A discussant will be appointed for each paper. The intention is that studies presented, and the discussion of them, will result in concrete ideas for future research and developments. Conference participants are expected to act as discussants within their field of expertise.
The conference is a Working Seminar intending to provide ample opportunities for interaction between Authors, Discussants and Audience. Each paper will be given 45 minutes, including 30 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of discussion. Participants are therefore recommended to join the sessions of the conference for at least three of the four days. Participants can join the presentation and discussion either onsite or online. The conference language is English.
