The 16th International Conference on the Physics of Non-Crystalline Solids will be an international forum for discussion of the most recent developments in the physics of non-crystalline solids. The conference will be the latest in the series of meetings started by Prof. V D Fréchette with the first conference, held in Alfred, USA, in 1958. Glass is a scientifically fascinating material, and even its fundamental nature is one of the major unsolved problems in physics. And just as significantly, glasses, glass ceramics and sol-gel derived materials are enormously important for their practical applications. The PNCS16 conference will provide a forum where scientists from all over the world can meet together to present and discuss all of the latest developments in the scientific study of non-crystalline solids.
