The seminar is designed to encourage interaction among participants and discussion around novel research projects, relating to the processes, which underlie dendritic functionality from the basics of synaptic signal integration to the impact, which dendritic activity has on the behavior of organisms both in health and disease. This includes a wide range of experimental and computational methods, ranging from electrophysiological recordings and imaging techniques to single cell as well as circuit modeling. To foster a vibrant, thought-provoking atmosphere, attendees are expected to participate either by presenting a poster, giving a short oral presentation or leading a discussion panel. It will also feature an international career development panel to highlight professional opportunities for young investigators.
