This symposium is themed “Poua te mana o Pāua ki te tai, kia whakaika te moana!” and will focus on fisheries management, physiology and ecology, aquaculture technology, processing, and the marketing of abalone. As a first-time addition, a strong stream of cultural and indigenous knowledge will be added along with scientific, industrial, and networking sessions, to ensure a special and memorable symposium in New Zealand.
