This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy Academic Registry team, where you will contribute to the management and development of our academic regulations and the provision of a regulatory service (academic appeals and additional consideration) for students. We are looking for a manager who can take the initiative to support the implementation and review of our policy, procedures and systems which contribute to a high quality student experience at the University. 

You will manage elements of the Academic Quality and Standards team in the area of external examining, academic standards, academic regulation, and academic governance. You will provide management and support for the Grade 6 Advisors. This role includes acting as an initial assessor in the Additional Consideration function and is vital to the timely outcomes to students (and meeting the University's regulatory obligations within this remit). 

In this role you will: 

lead a team of advisors, working in a hybrid manner and be based in Quality Services within Academic Registry;work collaboratively with academic and professional service colleagues to support the Education and Student Experience strategy and provide high quality advice and guidance including the provision of innovative solutions;continue to develop effective communication practices ensuring currency of knowledge and support for colleagues in their effective use of the quality assurance and enhancement processes and policies;support high-level University committees, working groups and panels;manage projects and resources to ensure effective delivery of student-facing services;have recent experience of quality assurance and enhancement operations in a higher education (or similar) environment.

This is a full-time, permanent contract. You will be expected to work in the office on our Moulsecoomb campus for two days a week in line with the University’s agile working policy. Applications from job sharers are welcome.
