Residences manage a diverse portfolio of properties and offer accommodation to c.6,500 students per year. The Residences Out of Hours and Life Manager is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing a dedicated team that delivers out-of-hours residential services and student life cycle events. From student arrivals to harmonious living and discipline, you'll ensure our student residences are welcoming, and conducive to both study and social engagement.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Lead and develop the Residences Out of Hours and Life team, ensuring service excellence and continuous improvementOversee contract performance for our security contractor across residential sitesManage student discipline and resolution processes, including complex case investigationsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver engaging life cycle eventsMonitor budgets and contribute to strategic planning and resource forecastingHandle formal complaints and appeals with professionalism and careSupport communications and engagement strategies to enhance student experience

This role will support teams who work shifts therefore the post holder needs to:

Work two days per week 2pm-10pmWork two days per week at a time of your choosing Be willing to contribute to the out of hours’ on call rota if required

Some weekend working will be required at peak times. The key events for the service are recruitment events, departure, and arrival periods (June- October).  The post is Part Time 28 hours per week, one year fixed term maternity cover
