To further the continued success of the School of Education, we are recruiting an Operations Officer to contribute to the delivery of our Initial Teacher Education, which offers teacher training opportunities for aspiring primary and secondary teachers. Our Ofsted-rated 'outstanding' PGCE courses offer support from expert teacher educators in university and experienced school-based mentors.

In this varied role you will be part of a small team, working flexibly across a range of processes and activities, to support the smooth operation of our Initial Teacher Education (with a focus on primary) provision.

You will: 

Work closely with academic colleagues to support events (catering/room bookings/invites etc).Record school placement, events and contact details in our localised database. Work closely with academic colleagues to secure school placements and have close communication with schools, mentors and coordinators. Service meetings and committees- take minutes/actions and circulate agendas.Support with finance tasks- for example raising requisitions and processing one-time payments. Respond to shared inbox email enquiries.Provide support as required to the Senior Operations Officer and Operations Manager

You will be someone who can manage your own workload in a busy and varied role and someone who thrives in a fast paced and at times pressurised environment. You will have A-levels or equivalent, or proven work experience in a relevant comparable role as well as have good IT, communication and time-management skills.

 This role is available as a permanent contract. Hours are full-time (36.25 hours per week), working Monday to Friday.
