We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Events Coordinator to join our team, supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of events and conferences across the University of Brighton.
The role will see you putting to use your experience in venue management, operational coordination, and excellent customer service to plan, deliver and coordinate a wide range of academic and commercial events that consistently exceed expectations.
A key part of the job will be building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and seamless event delivery. As part of a collaborative team with a wide remit, no two days will be the same.
In this role, you will:
Undertake administration for events to ensure efficient and effective delivery of all event support services both on and off university campusesLead the coordination of small to medium-sized eventsPrepare professional communication materials for internal and external customers; for example, event schedules, programmes and status reports, in line with the agreed frameworkTo be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience working in an events/relevant administration roleExcellent organisation and planning skillsStrong written communication skills (including proofreading skills) with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailGood IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office packagesSouthcoast Conferences and Events is the University of Brighton’s dedicated events and conference service, delivering high-profile institutional events and managing the commercial hire of the university's facilities out of term time. You’ll be part of a professional team that plays a key role in the University’s income generation and external engagement.
This post is a full time (37.0 hours per week) permanent position, and we welcome applications from candidates looking to job share.
