About the Role

As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will play a key role in delivering and developing modules aligned with your expertise. You will contribute to high-quality teaching and assessment using varied, inclusive strategies, and collaborate with students, colleagues, and external partners to support learner needs.

You will also be involved in curriculum design and preparation of teaching materials and are expected to contribute to research within one of our Research Units, meeting the standards required for the next Research Excellence Framework.

Based in the Department of Social Work and Wellbeing, part of the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine, you will join a forward-thinking, research-active team delivering innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will help shape engaging, employment-focused learning experiences within a collaborative academic environment.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. You will hold experience of working within health and social care, with the ability to effectively apply learning to real life situations, delivering research informed teaching and practical and skills experience.
