We’re looking for Six passionate and proactive Learning Success Coaches to play a vital role in supporting student engagement, progression and academic success.
About the role
As a Learning Success Coach, you will work directly with students to build meaningful, structured coaching relationships that empower them to take ownership of their learning. Moving beyond traditional advice-giving, you'll adopt a proactive, capability-building approach—supporting students to develop confidence, resilience and effective approaches to studying throughout their journey.
Working closely with academic Colleges and Professional Services, you will deliver timely and targeted support, with a particular focus on students at risk of low engagement or non-continuation, including those from underrepresented groups.
Key aspects of the role include:
Managing a caseload of students and providing personalised, flexible support through 1:1 sessions, group activities and proactive outreachEncouraging attendance, engagement and a strong sense of belongingUsing student data and insights to identify risk, monitor progress and deliver targeted interventionsCollaborating with academic staff, College leadership and support services to coordinate effective student success activitySupporting students to navigate university systems, regulations and available resourcesContributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of College-level retention and success initiativesWho we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who is student-focused, collaborative and confident working with diverse cohorts.
You will bring:
Experience of supporting or coaching students or individuals in an educational or advisory settingStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate othersConfidence working with data to inform decisions and interventionsThe ability to manage sensitive or complex situations with sound judgement and professionalismAn understanding of the barriers to participation and success for underrepresented groupsThe roles will be full time on a fixed term contract for 12 months, in-person and on both the City and Moulsecoomb campuses with an anticipated start date of the end of August 2026.
