INTERNAL VACANCY

This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

The Faculty Head of Education and Student Experience (ESE) is responsible for ensuring the continuing success and future development of curriculum, teaching and learning activities within the Faculty of Engineering. As a member of the Faculty Executive Board (FEB), you will work with the faculty senior leadership team to develop, implement, and monitor faculty plans in line with university strategies and to direct the administration of associated ESE activities across the faculty.

Specifically, in collaboration with the Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for ESE, you will manage the development and delivery of the faculty strategy for ESE and be responsible for the strategic management of teams and resource that supports delivery of the strategy. You will ensure that the Faculty of Engineering works in partnership with university-wide professional services teams to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities, and in support of ESE projects and other continuous improvement activities aligned to our objectives.

You will have experience in the higher education sector, be self-motivated, and have proven management and leadership experience of projects, people and resources. You will be an effective communicator, with the ability to influence, negotiate and manage the expectations of senior stakeholders. Your ability to plan strategically, solve problems and deliver operationally against a high volume of work activity alongside projects will be important to operate successfully in the role. The role leads a well established team of ~15 staff and works collaboratively with Education and Student Experience academic leads across the faculty.
