This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

The Primary Care Education Unit (PCEU), Centre of Academic Primary Care at the University of Nottingham are looking to appoint a Research Fellow or Associate to undertake a project investigating the accuracy of AI-driven platforms for translating patient resources in research.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team, led by Professor Jaspal Taggar, that are also undertaking research across the broad theme of developing capacity for clinical learning within Primary Care.  

Research activities will include undertaking a rapid evidence review, developing and testing the methodological approach for determining transcription accuracies of AI-translation platforms and knowledge exchange, with supervision and mentorship being provided by the leadership team within the PCEU. This is also an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in research methodologies and dissemination in support of your future career development.  

The post is fixed term for 12 months, offered for 21.75 (0.6FTE) hours per week with a start date as soon as possible (3rd August 2026).  There may be an option to increase hours up to 36.25 hours, subject to funder approval – to be confirmed.
