'Senior infrastructure Architect'

As part of the Enterprise Systems Development team, you will design and deliver complex systems and solutions that are essential to the University core operations.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative and understand the value of delivering reliable and stable services with clear and concise documentation. You will be working as part of a team of highly motivated individuals who are committed to achieving deadlines and customer satisfaction.

In particular, we are looking for candidates who have demonstrable skills in the following in an enterprise class environment:

Significant knowledge of RHEL or other distributions of LinuxWorking knowledge of the Windows server platformScripting in languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, BASH and PowerShellExperience of VMWare or virtualisation platforms

We would very much like to hear from candidates who additionally demonstrate skills or knowledge in some of the following:

Knowledge of Puppet (or other configuration management systems)Experience of Software Development in an enterprise environmentExperience of the following web services and languages: Apache & Tomcat, JavaExperience with other platforms such as OS X and SolarisExperience of LDAP/NISExperience of modern authentication protocolsTCP/IP data networking

iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group and provides all aspects of ICT to the University. This includes learning and teaching, research, and University administration, and supports a diverse user community of over 35,000 University staff and students.
