The Edge is the University’s busy arts and management building, with a range of specialist and multi-purpose spaces for arts activities including performances, exhibitions and rehearsals, as well as academic teaching, conferences, meetings and catering.

We are looking to recruit a Box Office Co-ordinator to ensure the delivery of excellent customer care and smooth running of the Box Office as a reception for building users, stakeholders and clients, creating and maintaining a positive first point of contact for visitors.

Working in The Edge Operations Team, part of ahs, the role will be responsible for the scheduling, co-ordination and supervision of the Box Office team, ensuring that the Box Office has the appropriate level of staffing and that team members are sufficiently trained to effectively perform their duties. Liaising closely with colleagues in The Edge Operations, the role will maintain Box Office policies and oversee the effective use of the computerised ticketing and venue management systems for box office, room booking and marketing purposes. The role will also share Duty Management responsibilities withThe Edge Operations colleagues, covering activities and events often in the evenings and at weekends.

The successful candidate will have relevant supervisory experience working in a Box Office or similar FOH/Reception role. Committed to providing excellent customer service, you will be highly organised and flexible, with demonstrable experience of supervising and training staff. You will be able to work independently and calmly under pressure yet work well as part of a team.

The role requires flexibility and availability to work a variety of hours across building opening hours, 7 days per week, with a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
