The Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology, which ranked sixth overall in the REF2014 assessment of the Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing & Pharmacy (and was in the top three of universities with a School of Pharmacy) is appointing a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice.

We are looking for an outstanding individual with a keen interest in research relating to any area of pharmacy practice.  The Pharmacy Practice Group comprises a dynamic group of academics, teacher-practitioners, practice-educators, researchers and PhD students. The Group already has a strong research interest in the areas of (i) pharmacoepidemiology, (ii) medicines optimisation  (including adherence), particularly with vulnerable patient populations, (iii) the contribution of the pharmacy profession to increase healthcare capacity and capability and (iv) co-production of pharmacy/medicine services with patients and public.

The successful candidate will have research interests that complement existing research themes in Health and Clinical Research, Drug & Target Discovery or Medicines Design.

The launch of the new MPharm undergraduate programme in Sept 2015 has led to an innovative new curriculum and significant changes in the design, development and delivery of learning for student pharmacists. This post holder will also work with the Pharmacy Practice teaching team to support the teaching and learning of our undergraduate MPharm students across a range of units as well as participate in our expanding portfolio of post-graduate programmes in clinical pharmacy practice.
