Description :

Interviews to be held on 9th and 10th July.

Are you skilled in GC-MS and/or LC-MS analysis of small molecules? Do you want to work on an industrially-funded research project potentially leading to significant commercial impact?

The University of Lincoln has recently initiated a project to analyse animal-derived small molecules to determine bio-active components in particular behaviourally-relevant scenarios. The post holder will join on a 22 month contract (post available from the start of Summer/Autumn 2019) and expected to undertake the GC-MS and LC-MS analyses. There is potential for the contract to be extended (subject to further funding, pending initial results). After an initial discovery phase, the project will involve development and application of quantitative SIM- and MRM-based workflows.

This is a commercially sensitive research project and so is subject to a confidentiality agreement which would need to be signed before interview.

You will be experienced in analytical biochemistry of at least doctoral level.

The University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious institution and you will be working in the heart of a thriving, beautiful, safe and friendly city. The Schools provide a stimulating environment for academic research, and are based in high quality, newly developed facilities.
