Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management based in the Operations Management and Information Systems (OMIS) Division of Nottingham University Business School. The person appointed will be expected to engage in high quality research. They must be able to make effective contributions to Logistics and Supply Chain Management teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Although candidates may have expertise in any aspect of logistics and/or supply chain management, the ability to cover physical logistics and transportation is necessary. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.

Candidates should have a PhD (or be very close to completion) in a relevant area. They should have excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant areas.  Research interests in areas that complement existing research within the Division and the ability to publish in academic research journals in relevant areas are also required. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in retail logistics and/or international logistics. Candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
