The University of Nottingham is looking to grow our team of Learning Technology Consultants with a role that provides daily support to staff and students. You will be the first point of contact for those who need help with the various Learning Technology systems and related policies and processes that we use across the University. The investment in this role is designed to support the University’s teaching and learning strategy byto extending the capacity and capability of the Learning Technologies team. 

You will be approachable and have the ability to engage with our diverse range of staff and students. Being personable and having the ability to bring a high energy and enthusiastic approach, you will be a vital part of enhancing the current support available to staff and students in the use of digital technologies in their teaching and learning. 

Your main responsibilities will include managing the Learning Technologies support desk, logging requests for support, answering them where possible and redirecting questions to other team members as appropriate.  Using your excellent customer service skills, you will have the ability to build and maintain relationships with staff and students at all levels of the university to explore issues they are experiencing and then identify and deliver effective solutions. You will also enjoy problem solving and working in an environment where people look to you for advice and guidance on what to do when they are experiencing difficulties with technology.

You will support a range of technologies, including Moodle and e-assessment technologies and will need a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

You will join an existing team of highly motivated Learning Technology Consultants who provide support, advocacy and consultancy in their assigned areas.  You will have an inclusive style to your ways of working and will be an ambassador for your team by adopting a proactive, positive and forward-thinking approach to all that you do.

This fixed-term post is available until 29 July 2022. Hours of work are full-time, however job share arrangements may be considered.
