The School of Sociology and Social Policy (SSP) is a vibrant, diverse and exciting centre for social science teaching and research.  We are a multidisciplinary School covering criminology, public policy, social policy, social work and sociology.  

We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join our growing Criminology team.  The successful applicants will be expected to make a significant contribution to research and teaching in the School taking responsibility for the quality of the education we provide and for identifying new opportunities and sources of funding for research, as well as contributing to a high quality submission to REF 2021.  They will also play an active part in the work of the School more generally, for example by taking on administrative roles in relation to research and/or teaching.  Following the launch of a popular new BA Criminology in September 2018, the successful candidates will be involved in the development and delivery of elective modules in their area of research interest as well as core teaching in criminology. 

We welcome applications from candidates with interests in any area of criminology, a commitment to research and a strong background in delivering educational programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.  

These post are full-time however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.This post is offered on a permanent basis.
