We are recruiting qualified graduate adult nurses to be clinical skills demonstrators, based in either Eastbourne or Falmer. These are exciting new roles in our undergraduate nurse programme, and is an ideal opportunity to contribute to growth, learning and development of new generations of health care professionals. 

We anticipate that these roles will appeal to nurses who wish to develop their teaching knowledge and skills in a Higher education setting alongside maintaining a clinical role. You will join a vibrant team of colleagues dedicated to the education of Registered Nurses/BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult, Mental Health, Child) students. You will work alongside academic colleagues in our contemporary skills and simulation suites sharing your specialist knowledge, techniques and procedures to support the learning and teaching of students in their clinical skills development. Working under the guidance of academic colleagues to assist in the supervision and evaluation of assessment tasks during skills and simulation sessions /seminars, this role also provides opportunities for you to develop your teaching and facilitation skills in Higher Education.  

In order to be successful in this role you will:

Be an NMC Registered Adult Nurse holding good standing Have a degree in a nurse/healthcare related subjectHold a NMC qualified Mentor or Practice Supervisor/AssessorBe required to provide clear and concise information and to recognise the needs of the learner. 

The role will involve the need for creativity and problem solving so you must be able to analyse situations to provide necessary assistance to resolve problems. 

You will be based at either our Falmer or Eastbourne campus and travel between either site as required. It is anticipated that the role will be 1 day per week, however there is a degree of flexibility in this.
