Description :

Applications are invited for the above post from UK registered Dietitians (or those eligible for registration). This offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the dietetic education at the University of Nottingham and would be suitable for candidates with prior experience in higher education or practising Dietitians who wish to embark on such a career. Applications are particularly welcome from those who have recent experience of working in acute care.

The post is based within the Division of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics in the School of Biosciences. This newly formed Division combines the expertise that exists across these related disciplines. The School offers a four-year integrated undergraduate Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition (MNutr) leading to eligibility to apply for registration in dietetics with the Health and Care Professions Council.  The Division also delivers other Nutrition-related degrees, including a three-year BSc degree in Nutrition, which has been accredited by the Association for Nutrition, a BSc in Food Sciences and Nutrition, and most recently we have added a BSc in Consumer Behaviour: Food and Nutrition.  In addition, we offer a range of postgraduate taught modules for registered Dietitians and MSc degrees in Advanced Dietetic Practice, Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Science.

The successful candidate will be expected to predominantly contribute to the teaching and related administration of a number of modules within the programmes associated with our dietetics associated degrees, but they will also make contributions to our nutrition-related degrees.  In addition, if desired, there is the opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved and potentially contribute to research in Dietetics and Nutrition.

Candidates should hold a current registration as a Dietitian in the UK (or be eligible for such registration) and, ideally, will have a Postgraduate qualification (taught masters, or research degree) in a relevant subject area (medical/life sciences or education).

This is a full-time, permanent post available from 1st September 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter and is open to job share.
