Teaching Fellow (Pathway Lead in Community Nursing) (032119)

To build on the expertise within the School of Health Sciences we are looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow – Pathway Lead for Community Nursing. You will be a qualified District Nurse and lead the MSc and BSc (Hons) Primary and Community Care (Specialist Practice District Nursing) programme. You will be expected to support DN students during their academic study and whilst they are in practice. You will be expected to teach high-level clinical skills and in-depth understanding across programmes which prospective employers will look out for in the fields of primary and community care, therefore teaching experience is desirable. However, the school will support you to develop your teaching skills.

Drawing on your previous experience into healthcare, you will offer students the chance to learn from practitioners in other specialties, assisting them in enhancing their knowledge-base and professional prowess.

Sitting within the University’s Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, the School of Health Sciences has achieved substantial success and is currently ranked 3rd by the Complete University Guide 2018 and 4th by the Times and Sunday Time Good University Guide 2018.
