The Department of Technology Enhanced Learning develops and evaluates innovative approaches to digitally enabled teaching which align with the distinctive Surrey curriculum and are informed by educational research. A new team has been created in the department to support the growth of online and distance learning, including Degree Apprenticeships and MOOCs. Within this team, there is a need for skills and expertise to develop digital content for the University’s growing portfolio of online and blended courses.

The Digital Learning Content Developer will work closely with the Online Courses Production Lead, Learning Designer and subject specialists to apply instructional design techniques to the development of digital content. This includes responsibility for producing digital assets (including text, images, film, animation, audio and video) using rapid authoring tools and scripted languages.  

We are looking for someone with experience of designing and developing digital resources for online delivery using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Storyline. You should have good working knowledge of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript,as well as knowledge of instructional design principles suitable for online contexts.

This is an opportunity to work within a small, focused, flourishing team, to develop and produce innovative, effective and engaging content for a variety of partners and platforms.
