The post holder will play a role in the development of the Birmingham City University internationalisation strategy, with a key focus likely to be one or more of the MENA, Africa, and Europe regions. Through the development of a targeted international recruitment strategy the International Officer will grow the number of international students at all levels, manage a network of agents, identify institutional partnerships, and support the admissions processes. Reporting to the Senior International Recruitment Manager, you will work closely with key members of the International Office and will have a significant input into the international marketing, recruitment and admissions functions. The post holder will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and initiative to ensure that the most efficient and effective systems are in place to support the targets. You will have experience of international markets in a sales/marketing/recruitment role, ideally within higher education, and a track record in driving growth would be advantageous. A willingness to travel extensively overseas and flexible working is required for this role, as well as being politically aware and culturally sensitive.
