Category: Professional/Support | Hub: BG Resources | Department: IT | Closing Date: 02 Aug 2019 |   Bishop Grosseteste University is seeking to appoint a high calibre IT professional.  The position of Director of IT, Systems and Data has a key role to play in the University’s advancement through the introduction of innovative and creative solutions.  This includes the strategic planning, implementation, ongoing development and management of the University’s information systems, networks and staff.  In line with a rapidly changing Higher Education sector, there is a change programme running across the institution.  As a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Group, you will help to drive this programme of change.  You will be educated to degree level, be able to demonstrate high level analytical and strategic thinking qualities and should have experience in all aspects of IT, ideally in an educational environment, although this is not essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required as the role holder will be expected to work with colleagues at many levels across the organisation, including senior management. In addition to the salary noted above, the University also offers membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, 35 days holiday plus bank holidays and an additional 3 discretionary days.
