The Department enjoys strong student recruitment and has a great team of academic colleagues, undertaking some really interesting and varied work that has real-world impact. We are recruiting an Assistant Lecturer in Psychology to provide maternity cover, who would ideally be able to offer high quality teaching, assessment, student supervision and pastoral care to students on the suite of Psychology programmes, including both BSc and MSc courses. The successful applicant will possess a Master’s qualification, possibly with an emerging profile in an area of research in any aspect of Psychology. A PhD qualification would be an advantage, as well as previous module coordination and administration experience but these are not essential. This post would be suitable for an emerging academic, although evidence of external grant income, a track record of publications and outputs would be advantageous. Applicants should be actively involved in research, knowledge transfer or professional practice. The Department of Psychology runs a suite of BPS accredited Single and Combined Honours undergraduate programmes and Masters Programmes in Psychology, Forensic Psychology and Health Psychology.
