Description :

A qualified and experienced Craftsperson - Plumber is required to work within the Estates and Facilities Department carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to University Buildings. You will undertake general plumbing tasks from inception to completion including the planning and specification of the work, liaising with customers and other University departments to ensure work is carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner. You will also complete pre and post task documentation to ensure records of work are maintained and accurate.

Candidates should be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an appropriate plumbing discipline and have substantial experience of working in a similar role encompassing all aspects of commercial plumbing services. Ideally candidates will also be trained and qualified in a secondary Building Service discipline with the ability to carry out a range of small non plumbing repairs. As this role requires the post holder to drive between university sites a full current driving licence is also essential for this role unless disability precludes this.

Hours of work are full-time (36.25 per week to be worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged mainly Monday to Friday). Flexibility will be required.
