Description :

A qualified and experienced Maintenance Craftsperson is required to work within the Estates Department undertaking planned and reactive maintenance to University Buildings. You will liaise with customers and other University departments to ensure work is carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner; completing pre and post task documentation to ensure records of work are maintained and accurate.

Candidates should be qualified to NVQ level 3 in an appropriate Building Services Engineering discipline such as Heating engineering, plumbing or fitting, have experience of working within a mechanical services maintenance environment and have a thorough understanding of the operation and repair of heating and ventilation systems. As this role requires the post holder to drive between university sites a full current driving licence is also essential for this role unless disability precludes this.

Hours of work for this permanent post are full time, 36.25 hours per week to be worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. Job share arrangements may be considered for this post.
