Under the Vice Chancellor, Max Lu, the University is expanding its Alumni and fundraising activities with the aim of reaching £15m a year as annual income. The opportunity exists to join us on this journey as we seek to appoint an Advancement Manager for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a growing, high-performing team at a collaborative University with teaching and research excellence in many exciting fundable areas such as:

Living and working in the digital age; Society, Economy and Sustainability; Inequalities, Governance and Wellbeing among several other research strengths. 

The successful candidate will act as the key relationship manager for a prospect portfolio of Alumni and HNWs. They will build rapport and develop relationships across the University’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences academics, to lead proposals for philanthropic funding of key projects. Key departments and schools will be Music and Media, Politics, Sociology, Law, Literature and Languages and the Guildford School of Acting.

The Advancement Manager (FASS) will report to the Team Manager Major Gifts and be based in the Advancement team. It is anticipated that the first round of interviews will be held on 01 October and the second round on 9 October.
