We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our Catering Team at the University of Nottingham. Based within one of the busy kitchens on either University Park or Jubilee Campus you will gain a range of practical cooking skills, preparing and cooking a wide variety of products at either breakfast, lunch or dinner and on special events and formal dinners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop and progress within the catering industry and will include undertaking a structured training programme to gain industry recognised qualifications.

Candidates should have a passion for cooking and want to learn and develop within a busy environment. Further details on the duties and requirements for the role can be found on the attached job role profile.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time, 36.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday) for 52 weeks of the year. Flexibility will be required to work a range of shifts including weekends as part of the development for this post. Job share arrangements may be considered.
