We are pleased to announce a number of vacancies within our multi-location Campus IT Support Team, which plays a central supporting role in helping to ensure staff, students and visitors derive the greatest possible benefits from the university’s extensive AV and IT services.

As one of our three new IT Support Technicians, located at either our University Park or Kings Meadow campuses, you will be responsible for providing first and second line support to the university community for all AV and IT related support requests received in-person, via telephone, self-service and email. As an IT Support Technician your role will be varied and you will be required to engage widely in supporting IT and AV technologies for the core business areas of research, teaching and administration.

Your background will include experience of providing technical support, including troubleshooting and supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, desktop and laptop hardware. You will have a sound understanding of operating system security principles and working knowledge of Audio Visual technologies. You will be a quick and confident learner and keen to engage in supporting new technologies. You are very much a team player with excellent communication and customer service skills, who thrives in a demanding environment.

As the successful candidate, you will have 2 A levels/equivalent qualification and relevant experience trouble-shooting and problem-solving in an IT workplace environment. 

These are permanent posts, based at either our University Park Campus or Kings Meadow Campus. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:15), however job share arrangements may be considered.
