Description :

Staffordshire Business School is a full-service international business school with a proud heritage. We have been providing high calibre business, management, accounting, tourism and events education for over thirty years, with full time and part time courses offered at undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and doctoral levels which are delivered flexibly to enable students to continue their education at the same time as working.

The Business School is leading the way in Higher and Degree Apprenticeship provision, as part of the university’s commitment to the design and delivery of new apprenticeships that will meet the needs of 21st Century employers. This is an exciting stage in the development of our apprenticeship provision, and work has already begun on the siting of a new, state-of-the-art Apprenticeship and Skills Hub, which is set to open in 2020/21.

Due to expansion of our apprenticeship provision, Staffordshire Business School is seeking to appoint two Work-Based Education Officers to join the existing team.  This is a key role for monitoring and assessing  apprentices progress in meeting and evidencing the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours outlined in the relevant apprenticeship standard and other work-based education.

You should have a recognised Management Qualification such as ILM/CMI or other relevant professional experience and a minimum Level 2 English, Maths and ICT including knowledge of key functional skills.  A valid driving licence is also required.

Additionally, you should have vocational experience of assessing qualifications including compiling learner portfolios, delivering and assessing management qualifications. Knowledge of working with relevant professional bodies will be a distinct advantage.

For further information or an informal discussion regarding this role, please contact June Dennis, Dean, Staffordshire Business School at june.dennis@staffs.ac.uk.
