Description :

The Faculty of Science is looking for a pro-active and self-motivated individual to join our team in the role of Centre Co-ordinator for our Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Condensed Matter Physics.

Working in close liaison with the Centre’s Director and Manager, you will provide comprehensive and expert support across its remit of activities.

You will be able to use your knowledge gained through previous administrative experience and initiative to manage and prioritise effectively the requirements of the role. Effective and professional liaison with internal and external contacts and the ability to establish good working relationships is an integral part of the role and so highly developed interpersonal and communications skills are essential.

Previous experience within the HE sector is desirable but not essential. Skills in the use of University specific software (Moodle, SAMIS and Business Objects) will be an added advantage. However, an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the team and the Faculty is equally important.

We care about student and staff well-being, excellent service and University reputation. Trust, care and our team’s work-life balance are part of our core values, resulting in commitment to our roles and each other’s welfare.

If this approach resonates with you and you are a good team player who also enjoys working independently and taking initiative, and you feel you meet the essential criteria listed, we would welcome an application from you.
