We are seeking to appoint an Editorial Assistant to assist and support the Managing Editor of the Cochrane Schizophrenia Group with producing, maintaining and disseminating evidence for the best care for people with schizophrenia.  

The University of Nottingham, through support from the Department of Health, hosts the editorial base of the Cochrane Schizophrenia Group (CSzG) and the successful role holder will be based in the Division of Psychiatry & Applied Psychology, Institute of Mental Health Building. The CSzG supports a network of researchers to produce and maintain high-grade reviews, which are disseminated online within the Cochrane Library.  

The role holder will work closely with the Managing Editor and assist them with bringing together the work of review authors, editors and peer reviewers. The Cochrane Collaboration makes extensive use of electronic methods of working and communication therefore the successful candidate should be an experienced user of the software packages for documentation production, data storage and retrieval and communication. The role holder will also provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator and the CSzG team. 

Candidates must have a Degree (or equivalent) in Information Science or related area, experience of using software packages for data production, storage and retrieval, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively within a team, including colleagues based at other locations, is also essential.

This is a part-time 21.75 hours per week post and will be offered on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2020.
