Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Politics and International Relations to further strengthen the thriving research and teaching culture of Politics and International Relations (PAIR). To be successful you must have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Politics/Political Science, along with a track record of published research and experience in delivering teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

We are particularly interested in recruiting candidates with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: democratic innovation; comparative politics; research methods; and comparative political economy; but we welcome applications from across the field of Political Science.

You will work with a strong body of staff in a Department that was ranked 5th in the UK for the quality of its research outputs in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. You will contribute to excellence in education by designing and delivering effective teaching and learning activities and supervision of Doctoral candidates. You will also undertake nationally and internationally recognised academic research, producing research outputs for publication and academic excellence and demonstrate the potential to secure research grants.

This position is tenable from end of January 2020.
