We are seeking a Senior Lecturer and Professional Lead, Social Work for our social work provision at our Brentford campus. Working closely with the course leader, the Professional Lead Social Work will ensure that the professional requirements of the Social Work course are met and the overall quality of the student experience is assured at all times. 

This will include having an overview of recruitment to the course, the development of an innovative and dynamic curricular, ensuring and participating in quality teaching and learning and building excellent relationships with practice partners and professional bodies.

We are looking for an experienced social work lecturer with excellent leadership skills and understanding of the professional requirements for social work programmes to drive forward our social work provision at UWL. Applicants should have good experience of teaching and learning, curriculum development, and quality processes. They should have a current understanding of key social work practice issues and a keen interest in contributing to the professional, academic, research and scholarly development of the college.  

The successful applicant must have a higher degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, registration with HCPC on appropriate part of the register (Social Work) and a teaching qualification recognised by professional bodies.

You will provide dynamic team leadership, deliver innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies that enhance student learning, as well as participating in necessary administrative responsibilities and quality assurance processes within the college. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, the teaching team and our support and technical staff.

An enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this post (to be undertaken upon appointment)
