The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.

Strategic Planning is a function within the Directorate of UWL dealing with all aspects of data and strategic planning. Strategic Planning is responsible for student statutory reporting as well as delivering information and actionable insights across the University to drive strategic and operational activities.

The main purpose of this role is to produce accurate and timely data and appropriate analysis to aid business decisions. This is a critical role in helping the team to develop the capacity to support BI and MI functions.

The post holder will be a key member of Strategic Planning and be required to analyse data and derive insights that support evidence based decision making. The Senior Information Analyst will use data to build narratives to enable colleagues across functions to better understand the performance of the University and help them strategically formulate actions and plans. They will also need to use professional judgement to develop and tailor reporting solutions for complex data outputs that meet internal and external stakeholder expectations and support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate with have significant experience of working with data providing appropriate manipulation, analysis and reporting, in order to make well-informed recommendations, and to adjust findings to suit different audiences You will also have strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse raw data in order to identify trends, patterns and to satisfy monitoring requirements.
