The University of Nottingham has a great leadership opportunity for two experienced and enthusiastic librarians to join our Customer Services section. You will be part of a small senior team, with three Senior Librarians in total, committed to delivering consistently excellent customer service across seven libraries. You will lead a large team of staff and contribute directly to both the operational and strategic development of a wide range of services.

Services include a comprehensive frontline help and enquiry service, a wide range of lending services, interlibrary loans, laptop loans, print, copy and scan services, shelving and book delivery across sites. The role also includes responsibility for the relevant library buildings in terms of access management, security, physical condition and health and safety.

You will be responsible for the leadership and motivation of your team, confidently engaging and supporting them through the development of our service. You will also have responsibility for some services across all our libraries. We work collaboratively across the section, department and University to ensure that services develop efficiently and consistently, and excellent communication is maintained. There is a lot of variety within the role, including projects to review and improve our service. You can expect to make a significant contribution to our strategic review and development in line with the teaching, learning and research priorities of the University.

Hours of work are full-time, 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive. The posts are offered on a permanent contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
