This is a hands-on opportunity for a marketing professional to join our small, dynamic project team responsible for the delivery of the University’s £70m research and innovation institute – the Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS). 

We are looking for a talented, creative and proactive marketing professional to join our busy team and contribute to the pace of delivery of a range of activities across the full marketing mix. You’ll take responsibility for the creation and implementation of marketing and web materials to engage with a wide range of stakeholders in the run up to the launch of IAAPS in 2021. You’ll have the opportunity to apply and develop your marketing insight and experience across a wide range of channels at a time when IAAPS will be going through a major and exciting period of development.

The role

This is a busy and varied role spanning activities across the full marketing mix, including web and social media platform content creation and development, marketing collateral production, advertising planning and implementation, media buying and PR, event organisation and delivery, as well as campaign tracking and reporting. You’ll have excellent project management skills, able to liaise and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver marketing activities on time and on budget. You’ll have a proactive and creative approach to marketing content creation, ensuring that IAAPS’ marketing outputs reflect the game-changing nature of the expertise and facilities on offer at IAAPS.

To fulfil this position, you’ll have a strong track record of working in marketing and web roles, with a particular focus on content creation, copywriting and visual content development. You’ll have an innovative and proactive approach to delivering the best marketing activities to articulate the IAAPS offering.  You’ll be able to communicate effectively and confidently to develop good working relationships within IAAPS, across the University and with external stakeholders. You should have excellent organisational skills and be a good team player. You may work on multiple projects at once so being able to manage your workload effectively is important. 

IAAPS is one of the most exciting strategic projects here at the University of Bath and will support national and global automotive organisations in the development of future generations of ultra-low and zero emissions vehicles. At such a significant period of change in the automotive industry, IAAPS will play a critical role in helping our industry and academic partners accelerate the pace of transition to low carbon mobility. 

This post is full time on a fixed term basis until 30th March 2021.
