An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University IT Services as a Lead Information Security Assurance Specialist.    The role is the primary lead on Information Security Assurance, working closely with technical teams and architects to over-lay good practice and security controls ad appropriate.  It is expected that the role holder will have the business acumen to be able to apply appropriate Risk Analysis principles to prioritise the resources at hand and to provide justification for plans and resource requests.

The post holder will lead on information security due diligence processes with key suppliers, developing and maturing existing processes and delivering integration with IT Services pipeline processes as appropriate.   You will work with our Procurement and Contracts teams to review security clauses in existing and new contractual agreements, to ensure they meet appropriate standards.

You will be an experienced IT Security specialist, with the ability develop frameworks to support accreditation and certifications to appropriate ISO standards.  You will also be a confident communicator, devising and running Security Awareness Programmes to deliver to colleagues throughout the University (tailoring these to the appropriate audiences).
