The Department of Criminology and Sociology is situated within the School of Social Sciences and is home to a diverse and multi-disciplinary team and has a track record of success in research, knowledge exchange, teaching and public engagement.  

 

The advertised position is an exciting opportunity to join an established and innovative team who are delivering a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Security Studies and an MA in Security Studies.  We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with expertise in intelligence studies, international institutions, or with a focus on security in the Global South.  The successful candidate will be teaching, assessing and supporting students on Criminology and Security Studies modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

 

Candidates should be in possession of a PhD in a relevant subject, have experience of teaching within Higher Education, be actively involved in research (with a proven track record of publications), knowledge transfer and/or professional practice, and be able to contribute to one of our Research Centres within the School of Social Sciences.
